Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between depression and physical activity on memory in elderly 60-80 years old at PSTW Usada Mulia 05 and Pusaka 41, Cengkareng distrik, West Jakarta 2012. Design of this study was cross sectional with 135 total sampels man and women age 60-80 years old which has chosen by systematic random sampling. Subject (n=135) were interviewed using questionnaire about depression, daily activity in previous week and memory with MMSE test. Data were analyzed using SPSS Program (chi Square). The result of study showed that 135 participants age 60-80 years old showed depression and physical activity was not gave significant relationship with memory (p=0.14; p<0.05 ; r=0.18). there is not significant relationship between depression and physical activity on memory in elderly 60-80 years old.
