Abstract
Objective : To examine the relationship between internet addiction and anxiety and loneliness in junior high school adolescents in Kramat Jati District, East Jakarta. Method: Further analysis of the study "Overview of the Use of Electronic Media for Physical Health, Mental Health, Academic Schools in Junior High School (SMP) in Kramat Jati Subdistrict, East Jakarta, DKI Jakarta in 2018" with an approach using cross sectional aims to examine the relationship of internet addiction and anxiety in adolescents at junior high school level in Kramat Jati Subdistrict, East Jakarta, DKI Jakarta with a total sample of 315 used. Results: The results of internet addiction that were mostly experienced by teenagers in SMP Negeri 4 Kramat Jati District were mild internet addiction in adolescents aged 13 years as many as 119 teenagers (94.4%), and in junior high schools as many as 150 96 teenagers (94.1%) . As for the most anxiety is normal anxiety at the age of 14 years as many as 128 adolescents (95.5%) and at 150 junior high school as many as 99 adolescents (97.1%). The value of the positive relationship is weak (r = 0.248), and there is a statistical relationship between internet addiction and anxiety (p = 0.000) and the results showed the highest mild internet addiction with 281 adolescents (89.2%) and loneliness with 297 adolescents (94.3 %). The relationship between internet addiction and loneliness of adolescents aged 12-15 years in Kramat Jati, East Jakarta was not statistically significant with p> 0.01. Conclusion : There is a weak relationship between internet addiction and loneliness and it is not statistically significant (p>0.01) and Internet addiction has a weak relationship and a statistically significant relationship.
