Hubungan Antara Regulasi Emosi Dengan Agresivitas Anggota TNI-AD Batalyon Kavaleri 9/SDK

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the relationship between emotional regulation and the Aggressiveness of Members of the Indonesian Army Cavalry Battalion 9/SDK. The subjects in this study totaled 130 people who had the characteristics of being members of the Indonesian Army who served actively in the 9th Cavalry Battalion/SDK, at least one year of service, aged 20-40 years, with the Nonprobability Sampling technique. This study used the Pearson Product Moment analysis method with the help of SPSS version 16.0 for windows. Data collection used two psychological scales, namely the Agression Quissionare scale compiled by Buss and Perry (1992). (45 valid items with α = 0.980) and the Emotional Regulation Questionnaire compiled by Gross and John (2003) (10 valid items with α = 0.919). The data obtained based on the results showed a correlation coefficient of -0.383 in the low category with p = 0.00 (p <0.05). These results indicate that the hypothesis put forward by the researcher, namely that there is a relationship between emotional regulation and the aggressiveness of members of the TNI-AD Cavalry Battalion 9/SDK, is acceptable. The correlation value is in the negative direction, this shows that the higher the emotional regulation, the lower the aggressiveness of members of the TNI-AD Cavalry Battalion 9/SDK

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara regulasi emosi dengan Agresivitas Anggota TNI-AD Batalyon Kavaleri 9/SDK. Subjek pada penelitian ini berjumlah 130 orang yang memiliki karakteristik yakni Anggota TNI-AD yang berdinas aktif di Batalyon Kavaleri 9/SDK, minimal masa dinas satu tahun,berusia 20-40 tahun, dengan teknik Nonprobability Sampling. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis Pearson Product Moment dengan bantuan program SPSS versi 16.0 for windows.Pengumpulan data menggunakan dua skala psikologi, yaitu skala Agression Quissionare yang disusun oleh Buss dan Perry (1992). (45 aitem valid dengan α= 0,980) dan Emotional Regulation Questionnaireyang disusun oleh Gross dan John (2003) (10 aitem valid dengan α= 0,919). Data yang diperoleh berdasarkan hasil menunjukkan nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar -0,383 dengan kategori rendah dengan p= 0,00 (p<0,05). Hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa hipotesis yang diajukan peneliti, yaitu terdapat hubungan antara regulasi emosi dengan agresivitas Anggota TNI-AD Batalyon Kavaleri 9/SDK dapat diterima. Nilai korelasi ke arah negatif hal ini menunjukan bahwa semakin tinggi regulasi emosi maka semakin rendah agresivitas anggotaTNI-AD Batalyon Kavaleri 9/SDK.
