Abstract

Academic pressure has become the main reason why many university students experience psychological issues such as stress or depression. This study aims to reveal the actions taken by students when dealing with the impact of academic pressure, so I can serve as a reference for changes in the academic field, including as a consideration in evaluating the current academic system. The researcher systematically employed a qualitative method for data collection. The data were obtained through open-ended responses from questionnaires distributed to students at Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia. The result of data collection showed that the efforts of Indonesia Education University students in overcoming the impact of academic pressure include providing counseling services and academic guidance that are more accessible, as desired by 45% of respondents. Additionally, 27.5% of respondents hope for improved communication between lecturers and students regarding academic expectations. 20% of respondents wish for more facilities or relaxation spaces on campus to help students relieve stress, and 7.5% of respondents suggest organizing programs or activities that support students' mental well-being.
