Objective: The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of body mass index during pregnancy to depression level based on age in pregnant women using the Edinburg Postnatal Depression Scale (EPDS) parameter in leuwiliang village, bogor district. Method : This study uses the Advanced Analysis method. The total number of samples used was 100 pregnant women taken from Leuwiliang District, Bogor Regency. Body Mass Index Examination using C13 questions on the questionnaire of the physical condition of the mother while for the examination of depression levels were taken by using the parameter questionnaire postnatal depression scale (EPDS). Results : It was found that the frequency of pregnant women with obese body mass index was 58 people (58%), and pregnant women with severe depression with 72 people (72%). While pregnant women with body mass index obesity and severe depression as many as 40 people from the available sample. Correlation between body mass index and depression level has the result of correlation r = -0.062 and p value = 0.270. Conclusion : In pregnant women in Leuwiliang sub-district, Bogor Regency, that body mass index and depression level based on age in pregnant women had a very weak correlation and were not statistically significant.
