Abstract

Purpose : The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between maternal education with a history of low birth weight (LBW)  Based on Mother’s Age in Leuwiliang District, Bogor Regency. Method : This research uses the Advanced Analysis method. The total number of samples used was 200 mothers and toddlers taken from Leuwiliang District, Bogor Regency. Examination of maternal education uses H1 questions on the questionnaire of maternal identity with maternal toddlers while for examination of birth weight history I1R9. Results : It was found that the frequency of low-educated mothers was 41 people (64.1%), and toddlers with a history of abnormal birth weight with 9 people (14,3%). While mothers with low education and LBW are 7 people from the available sample while mothers with low education and normal birth weight are more that 122 people. Correlation between body mass index and depression level has the result of correlation r = - 0.05 and p value = 0.20. Conclusion: In Leuwiliang sub-district, Bogor Regency, it was found that maternal education and birth weight history of children under five had a very weak correlation and were not statistically significant.
