Abstract

Frozen shoulder is a condition in which the shoulder joint is stiffness due to the thickening and contraction of joint capsule. This causes the volume capacity of the joint to decrease. High Intensity Laser Therapy have a wavelength of 1064 nm that leads to absorption of small and slow light by chromophore and address radiation to tissues noninvasively. The aim of this research is to represent a literature about the effect of High Intensity Laser Therapy on pain in Frozen Shoulder that fit into the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Four literatures with study design: Systematic Review / Meta- Analysis, Randomized Controlled Trial, Cohort Study, Experimental Study, measured variables are High Intensity Laser Therapy and Pain and irrelevant literature exclusion criteria. Literatures obtained from 4 databases, that are: PubMed (n=1), Science Direct (n=1), Korea Science (n=1), and Google Scholar (n=1). 4 literatures were found from 4 databases (Tuğba et al., 2020) The pain reduces significantly with time (P<0.001), (Kim SH et al., 2015) Both groups show pain relief over time (P<0.001 ), (Lee KS, et al., 2017) There is a significant difference in pain after the trial (p<0.05), (Elhafez HM et al., 2016) Pain level significantly fall off after 4 weeks (P<0.05). This research shows that the High Intensity Laser Therapy have effect on Frozen Shoulder.
