Abstract

This study was to evaluate the effect of Diaphragma Breathing  (DB) Training on Partial Arteri Carbon Dioxide Tension (PaCO2)  of COPD patient in Persahabatan Hospital Rawamangun 2010. In this study, a quasi-experimental design was used with one group consisting of 9 COPD patient. The Diaphragma Breathing  Training program consists of breathing by Diaphragma muscles with patient was half lying on the bed position. The study had been conducted for 4 weeks, three times a week. The study did not showed significant decrease (p > 0,05) COPD patient between pre and post Diaphragma Breathing  Training on Partial Arteri Carbon Dioxide Tension (PaCO2). Mean of PaCO2 before and after Diaphragma Breathing  Training (39,28 mmHg and 38, 14 mmHg). The Diaphragma Breathing  (DB)  Training program can not decrease the Partial Arteri Carbon Dioxide Tension (PaCO2) in COPD patient Persahabatan Hospital Rawamangun 2010
