Abstract

Relationship among level of education, age, gender and the propensity of physiotherapist in adopting evidence based practice in DKI Jakarta and its surrounding area in 2013. The main purpose of this study was to analyze a aelationship among level of education, age, gender and the propensity of physiotherapist to adopt evidence based practice. Study design  was a cross-sectional and purposive random sampling in DKI Jakarta and its surrounding area in 2013. The statistical analysis performed on the dataset of 101 physiotherapists was Correlation test with the p-value set on 0, 1.  Instrument were embedded in the instrument : factor affecting the propensity to adopt evidence-based practice in physical therapist, Patricia Bridges (2007). Characteristic description of physiotherapist highest degree held was diploma III, age : 38 years old, and gender : women more than man. Correlation of degree held, age and gender was 7,2%,  6,8% and  4%. The study findings demonstrated that most physiotherapist in Jakarta and its surrounding area have propen to adopt evidence based practice and there were not correlated with highest degree held, ages, and gender.  This findings have implication for physical therapist regulator, educators, and physiotherapist student.
